Mother Base is under attack, and your objective is to eliminate the invaders by taking out their leader. You'll be dropped onto one platform and need to cross a bridge to your right, then climb to the top of the island's tower to confront and defeat the enemy elites.
Ascend the nearest stairs. If you're quick, you can capture a nearby soldier who is taking potshots at your departing chopper. Interrogate him swiftly, but stay alert, as he has many allies nearby. Discard his body into the sea or hide it carefully. There’s a whole gang in the vicinity, so act quickly.
Make your way to the bridge and descend the first set of stairs on your left. Follow the piping and cross beneath it at the far end to your right, then climb upwards. Proceed through the small tunnel, and you’ll notice a stairwell ahead and to your right. Quietly stun any nearby enemies and begin a careful ascent.
Enemies are stationed above and all around you. Quietly evade them or take them down one by one, using the decks to maneuver while always returning to the main stairwell. Be particularly cautious while ascending, and watch for a guard on watch across from your deck on the final flight. Eventually, you will encounter a pipe.
Carefully climb the pipe once you’re confident the area is clear. Upon reaching the top, take out the guards with headshots and eliminate the Mosquito leader. Since these soldiers are highly skilled, it’s best to capture as many of them alive as possible.
If you're feeling particularly frustrated, you can easily ascend the stairs and pipe using two Stealth Camouflage items and sprint straight toward the enemy commander. Quickly subdue the commander, then move away to avoid enemy fire until Miller announces the mission's end over the loudspeakers.
If you successfully sneak to the top of the R&D Platform using the pipes, you can approach Mosquito and hold him up. At this point, you can either kill him at point-blank range or extract him to complete the mission.
After the mission, Miller establishes a special Security Team in addition to the Combat Unit. This also unlocks Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) for Snake, allowing him to construct another base in a different region of the world. Utilize the FOBs to recruit more personnel for Mother Base.
