The Ishokin Shrine (-0566, -3523, 0129) in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is located on a ridge overlooking Pappetto Grove. This shrine is a Rauru's Blessing shrine, which means it doesn’t contain a typical puzzle or combat challenge. Instead, finding and reaching the shrine itself is the main task. Once you arrive, you’ll be rewarded simply for entering and unlocking the shrine. Here’s a quick guide to help you locate and complete the Ishokin Shrine and claim the rewards, including the Giant White Stallion and Topaz.
Shrine Challenge: Rauru's Blessing
In Rauru's Blessing shrines, you’re rewarded for discovering the shrine’s location rather than completing an internal challenge. This type of shrine typically contains a single treasure chest and a blessing upon entry.
Enter the Shrine: Once you’ve located the shrine and entered, you’ll find the altar with the reward chest immediately accessible. There’s no puzzle or combat within the shrine itself.
Open the Treasure Chest:
Inside the chest, you’ll find Topaz, a valuable gem that you can use for selling, upgrading armor, or fusing to weapons for an electric effect.
Receive Rauru’s Blessing: After collecting the item, proceed to the altar to receive Rauru’s Blessing in the form of a Light of Blessing.
Rewards
Upon completing the Ishokin Shrine, you’ll receive:
Topaz from the treasure chest inside the shrine.
Light of Blessing for completing the shrine, which can be used to increase Link’s health or stamina at a Goddess Statue.
In addition to the shrine rewards, finding the Giant White Stallion near the shrine location is another prize! This special horse can often be found grazing nearby.
How to Find and Tame the Giant White Stallion
Locate the Stallion: After completing the shrine, look around the area near Pappetto Grove or the ridge where Ishokin Shrine is located. The Giant White Stallion is typically in a nearby meadow.
Approach Carefully: The Giant White Stallion can be skittish, so approach slowly. Use stealth to get close without alarming it.
Tame the Stallion: Once close, mount the horse and repeatedly press the soothe button to calm it. The Giant White Stallion may have high stamina and strength, making it harder to tame, so having upgraded stamina is helpful.
Tips for Success
Bring Extra Stamina: If your stamina wheel is low, consider eating stamina-boosting food before attempting to tame the horse.
Plan for the Terrain: The ridge and surrounding area can be steep and tricky to navigate, so climbing gear or stamina upgrades can be helpful for exploring the region.
